With CÉPROCQ since 2000, Yacine Boumghar directs the bioindustrial technologies research axis. He helps SMEs maintain, improve and develop their production processes according to sustainable development principles so that they remain competitive and profitable. Yacine Boumghar has successfully directed dozens of innovative research projects and is an Associate Professor at the Université du Québec à Chicoutimi.

He is also the co-author of a study on Biobutanol: Propriétés, voies potentielles de sa production et portée de son marché (Biobutanol: Properties, potential production channels and market scope), published in May 2015 by Le Consortium de recherche et innovations en bioprocédés industriels au Québec (CRIBIQ).
