Through its national community of partners, BioteCanada inspires domestic and international players to recognize the value and importance of biotechnology and to find solutions to the issues affecting the companies operating in its sector.

It serves as the voice of the business community and of the people of Greater Montreal for all aspects of their economic growth and prosperity and acts as the unifier and catalyst of the active forces of the metropolitan economy.
cribiq_220 The Consortium de recherche et innovations en bioprocédés industriels au Québec (CRIBIQ) has the objective of stimulating and funding the development of efficient and innovative bioprocesses in Québec, while facilitating collaboration between industrial partners and research institutions. Work under research projects funded by the CRIBIQ can focus both on manufacturing processes calling on biotechnologies and on processes with a view to the transformation of biomass into bioproducts, and valorization and treatment of residues.
 MEIE The Ministère de l’Économie, de l’Innovation et des Exportations (MEIE) has the mission of supporting Québec’s economic development, innovation and export trade by ensuring, in particular, the coordination and concerted action of the different players in the economic, scientific, social and cultural fields, within a perspective of job creation, economic prosperity and sustainable development.
 MESR The Ministère de l’Enseignement supérieur, de la Recherche, de la Science et de la Technologie du Québec (MESRST) has the mission of promoting higher education, research, science and technology. The MESRST encourages the increase in the level of schooling of Québec’s population, promotes access to the highest forms of knowledge for any person who has the will and ability, and supports excellence and innovation in its areas of jurisdiction.
trans-tech-logo_petit_0 Réseau Trans-tech brings together the College Centres for the Transfer of Technologies (CCTT) associated with Québec CÉGEPS and colleges. The mission of the CCTTs is to support SMEs in innovation with technical support, technological development, information and training.  For this purpose, it intervenes in areas of common interest and offers networking, development support, information, facilitation, promotion and representation services to its members (over 600 technical and scientific experts in its 46 centres).

Its mission is to promote the economic growth of its territory. SODEC offers consulting and support services to entrepreneurs, such as:

  • assistance in preparation of a business plan,
  • support for business consolidation or expansion,
  • support in looking for financing, training in entrepreneurship, and networking activities.
